General event conditions

1. Organizing company

NEXT BUSINESS EXHIBITIONS S.L. (hereinafter referred to as NEBEXT) with registered office at C/Enrique Granados 86-88, Planta 1a 08008 Barcelona and holder of Tax Identification Number B-87396818 (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”), is the organizer of the event (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”).

2. General Information

The Contract shall not be deemed concluded between You and the Organizer unless the Organizer acknowledges Your purchase order by an e-mail confirming Your registration for the Event. In this regard, the acceptance will be considered valid for all purposes at the time of confirmation by the Organizer via email.

The confirmatory e-mail will contain a link to these General Conditions for Visitors, which may be modified from time to time in accordance with the above.

The prices for products and services available at the Event shall be those indicated at the time of purchase on the Event website.

The Organizer reserves the right to change or modify prices at any time without prior notice.

3. Data Protection

The Organizer complies with the requirements set forth in the applicable privacy regulations. You can consult the Organizer’s Privacy Policy here.

4. Responsibilities

The Organizer is not responsible for any errors and omissions, and reserves the right to modify the information, specifications and descriptions of the services listed.

The Organizer undertakes to correct errors and omissions as soon as possible after they have been notified to it.

To the fullest extent legally permissible, the Organizer provides its Web Site and its contents “as is”, and makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to such Web Site or the information contained on this site, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Furthermore, the Organizer does not represent or warrant that the information accessed through this Web Site is correct, complete or up to date.

The Organizer shall not be liable for any consequential or lost profits, loss or damage to property and/or loss of third party claims arising from the use of the Organizer’s websites or for any services purchased from them.

5. Cancellation or change of tickets.

The holding of the conferences of the Event is conditioned to the number of visitors expected for each conference. Because of this, once the tickets for a conference or congress day are purchased, you will not be able to cancel the purchase or receive a refund of the payment made.

In the event of cancellation of the Event due to force majeure, health emergency and/or in cases in which the cancellation of the event is attributable to NEBEXT, NEBEXT will proceed to refund the amount of the accreditation, upon request of the User. In any case, NEBEXT is only obliged to reimburse the amount paid by the User for the accreditation, without, in any case, the aforementioned reimbursement including other cancellation expenses such as transportation, accommodation, allowances, etc ….

The illegal resale of a ticket or the attempt of illegal resale constitutes sufficient cause for the cancellation of said ticket without the right to a refund or any other type of compensation. NEBEXT shall be exonerated from any claim related to possible direct and/or indirect expenses that such cancellation may cause to the User, such as accreditation costs, transportation costs, accommodation, per diems, etc., which shall be entirely at the User’s expense.

A ticket may not be used for advertising, commercial, promotional, gaming, contest or betting purposes without prior, express and reliable authorization from the Organizer.

The Organizer may change the date or place of the Event for organizational, technical or other reasons that justify it. In the event of any of these changes, the Organizer undertakes to notify the Visitors as soon as possible in order to cause them the least possible inconvenience. This communication will consist of sending an e-mail to the Visitor at the address indicated in the registration form informing him/her of the change.

The impossibility of attending the Event or the commission of an error when purchasing the tickets (for example, by having entered the e-mail address incorrectly in the purchase process) are not grounds for a refund.

Tickets are not subject to the right of return unless the Event is cancelled.

You may not cancel or terminate this contract once the purchase has been made.

In case you wish to exchange your ticket for another ticket at the same price or at a higher price than the one you have paid, you will have to contact the Organizer at the e-mail address: , so that he can assess whether it is possible to make the change you wish to make.

6. Assignment of the Visitors image rights

By accepting these General Terms and Conditions, the Visitor grants a license of use to the Organizer for the use of his personal image, on the Organizer’s websites and social networks, as well as in press releases, for promotional and advertising purposes.

This license of use covers the right of reproduction, distribution, public communication, making available and transformation of the photographs taken by the Organizer during the celebration of the Event in any support or media online or offline, including, Internet, social networks, photographs, videos, computer programs, drawings, publications and electronic media, without limitation. The Visitor grants this license to the Organizer free of charge, worldwide, for the maximum permitted duration and without restriction or reservation.

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you release the Organizer from any liability for damages related to the use of your image.

In accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law 1/1982, on Civil Protection of the right to honor, personal and family privacy and one’s own image, the consent granted through the acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions may be revoked at any time.

 

7. Right of admission

Only business owners and/or professional will be admitted to the Event. However, under special circumstances, the Organizer may allow the entrance of students and/or university personnel who fulfil the requirements established by the Organizer.

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to visitors who do not meet the profile, attitude and professional dressing. Accordingly, the Organiser may refuse entry to visitors who attend to the Event in tracksuits, flip-flops or other similar attire that does not meet the required standards of professionalism.

 

8. Student Pass

Students are allowed to entry the last day of the event from 13h, as long as they come with the corresponding pass and accompanied by their school tutor. If a student is not accompanied and is under age, access to the event will be denied.

The persons or entities that are in charge of the Teaching Center will be liable for any damages caused by their minor students during the period of time they are at the event, as well as those arising from their guardianship.

The consumption of alcohol is completely prohibited for students, minors or adults, who access the premises and it must be the tutor who is in charge of ensuring that this does not happen.

Students must maintain a professional attitude and the organization reserves the right of admission if they do not meet this and the previous criteria.

 

9. Links to Web Sites

The Website may contain links to websites of other companies and third party entities.

The Organizer is not responsible for the way these companies treat privacy and personal data, so we recommend reading in more detail the privacy policy of the pages that are not owned by the Organizer, regarding the use, processing and protection of personal data. The conditions offered by these websites may differ from those offered by the Organizer.

 

10. Modifications

The information contained on the Website is current as of the date of its last update. The Organizer reserves the right to update, modify or delete the information contained on this Website.

The Organizer reserves the right to unilaterally modify these General Conditions, the Privacy Policy and any other relevant information. Modifications to the General Terms and Conditions shall be effective from the time they are published on the Website.

 

11. Language

The Organizer may translate these Terms and Conditions, its Privacy Policy, or any other operating rules or policies that may be published on the Website. The English version shall prevail in case of conflict.

 

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Spanish Law.

In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation, execution or validity of these General Conditions, the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid shall have jurisdiction.

 

13. Health and Safety Measures (Business Safe by Nebext)

The Organizer together with the venue and the different suppliers involved in the event have developed a contingency plan based on the measures for the reduction of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection indicated in the UNE 0066-19 Specification of June 2020 for the MICE sector and the regulations established by the Autonomous Community where the event is held.

The visitor agrees not to attend the event in the event of having been in close contact with a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus positive person in the 10 days prior to attending the event, or presenting symptoms compatible with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Likewise, the visitor undertakes to inform the relevant authorities and the organizer in the event of suffering symptoms or contracting SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus during his attendance to the event or within 14 days of his attendance to the event and exonerates the organizer from any responsibility and cannot make any claim whatsoever.

The participants in the event are informed and communicated about the preventive and hygienic-sanitary measures implemented and mandatory through the website https://www.expohip.com/medidas-de-seguridad-e-higiene/ , the registration confirmation email, the access pass to the event and other online, offline and onsite communication elements that allow them to know in a clear and evident way the measures to be followed and the possible modifications that may be derived from the current situation.

The visitor knows, accepts and is responsible for complying with these measures without exception at all times during his visit to the event.
