Position:

La Cartuja de Sevilla was born in 1841 from the entrepreneurial spirit of an English family in love with Andalusia and a specialist in fine English chinaware. With this idea in mind, the Marquis of Pickman decided to build a factory in the old monastery of La Cartuja to meet the high demand for crockery and tea and coffee sets of the time. The incipient bourgeoisie and the most prestigious European royal families were seduced by elegant pieces and extraordinary decorations.
